29 weeks.

At the first of my pregnancy I wanted to take picture every Sunday. Yeah, so I've taken like 5. It didn't work as planned. But, I've had a couple requests for the pregnant belly. I feel like I'm huge and can't grow anymore. I don't know where else I could grow, really. The pictures are at an angle, so you don't see the whole belly. If I were to have turned totally to the side, you could have gotten the real view! I've had many many people ask if I was due any day. When I tell them I'm not due until December, they usually get embarrassed, and are shocked. They're eyes get big, and they apologize...yeah...I am that uncomfortable. Yes, I am huge. My sister is due just two weeks after me. She barely even looks pregnant! Oh, the joys of pregnancy. It's just different for everyone, right?! But, the good news, I have only 11 weeks left, and I'm hoping he'll be early. I'm thinking like around our Anniversary, November 28th. That's only 12 days early...that's not bad. Macie was induced two weeks early, and she was healthy 8 pounds 1 ounce...I'll probably be okay! But, I'm getting down to the end, so here's to hoping that it goes by fast!!

Wordle

I found this on Jenny's blog. I thought it was cool! You can go here
to make your own little word bubble thing. I think I may become addicted! These are the most used words on my blog. Some are kind of random, and I don't really think I used them all that much...maybe I don't have much variety of words.

The Polka Dot Party

Macie had quite the day! We rushed around all morning trying to get all the stuff we needed for the cupcakes and carrot cake...and I'll blame it on pregnancy, but I kept forgetting things, and having to go back to the store. I was a basket case by the end of the day! But, Macie carried her Princess purse around all day long. It was so funny, I guess it was a good buy! We would say Happy Birthday to her, and she loved it and would keep saying, "Again?" So, Noah and I sang to her ALL day long, as she just sat and smiled, loving every minute of it. We picked up Adam's parents at the airport at 4, and then the party could start!

I finally go the cupcakes and cake done. Don't look too closely at the cake. It could have looked better if my frosting didn't melt as I was putting it on, but oh well...you just eat it right? I was super excited about her party. I got this wonderful idea for a polka dot party. My inspiration was the cake plate. I got it at Target for like 2 bucks after Easter, on clearance like 75% off. I had a tiered cupcake thing, too...that was only like a dollar, but the cupcakes didn't fit on it...maybe next year. But, the polka dot ideas were so fun...and easy.

We had little pizzas for dinner, with olives and pepperoni (yes...everything was round!) And we had split pea soup with pink polka dots in it. Her "life colors" are pink and green...most everything she has are these colors. So we had to continue with her theme. I used to pea soup, which is pretty good...I hadn't ever eaten it before...but I used it because of the color. And then I dyed some sour cream, and dropped it in like polka dots. And then we had the carrot cake and cupcakes. We should have invited more people to the party...we have A LOT of leftovers. We won't have to worry about desserts all week long!

Macie opened all of her presents, and the pictures just don't do it justice. She was SO excited about her baby and the stroller. She LOVES babies, and this baby even came with a pet cow, her favorite animal. Yes... a "pet" cow. Don't ask. She wasn't so thrilled about the dolly that Mommy made her. It doesn't have eyes yet, maybe that was why...she just looked at it like it was the strangest thing she had ever seen! Oh well. Maybe with time. Thank you to all of the grandparents, aunts and uncles for the cards and gifts...she loves them. She carried the cards around in her purse all day, and would look at them quite often. She's a funny girl.

She's growing up so fast. I can't believe it! And in a few months, Noah will be 4! Holy Cow! They can't stay babies forever. That reminds of this song. It's a country song...sorry, but it's a good song. It's called "Let them be little." The first time I heard it, I think I was pregnant with Macie, and I took my mom to a Mother's Week thing...and I just bawled. I realized that Noah wouldn't be little forever. it's a good song. Even if you don't like country, you should still listen to it!

Happy Happy Birthday, Macie dear...

I cannot believe that Macie is 2! My baby is already 2?! She has changed so much of the past two years, and is definately a 2 year old! I couldn't pick just a few pictures of her...there were too many really cute ones! She's just a really cute girl, what can I say? We love having Macie in our lives. She really keeps us laughing, she is quite the ham. If Noah is laughing and having fun, Macie is satisfied. She loves her big brother. They are so funny, they play really well, but still fight like mad! They're siblings...I guess it's expected! But, I really can't imagine life without Macie. Two years ago today...about right now actually, I went in to get induced. She was 2 weeks early, but we were moving, so it had to happen. Everything went smoothly. I pushed through one contraction and she was here! The day before I had her, I had an ultrasound to see if everything was good to go, and the doctor told me that she was going to be a little baby. He encouraged me to bring preemie sized clothes, because she was barely going to be 5 pounds. So, I expected a little teeny tiny baby, and our came Macie...all 8 pounds 1 ounce of her! She wasn't so little after all. I wouldn't change that day for anything. I love her more every day. Some days are a challenge, but then she looks at me with her huge gorgeous blue yes, and then everything is okay. And she knows this. She knows that Mommy and Daddy are wrapped around her little finger! Macie is great. I hope she has a great second birthday!

WE LOVE YOU MACIE! HAVE A FUN DAY, TODAY!!

(this is Noah's thank you for the puppy and Hello Kitty presents!)

(we're having a polka dot themed party this evening...I'm excited for the decorations, so check back later for more pictures!!Ü)

Cookie?

Adam made cookies last night. He LOVES making cookies. He found this recipe, and it's actually really good. If you can get Adam to actually make the cookies and not just eat the dough, it has to be a REALLY good recipe!

Every morning, he wakes up at 5:30 to get ready for work. This morning, he woke up, and immediately went downstairs. I was already awake, because when I'm pregnant, I rarely sleep. And today I was stressing out about everything that I need to get done today, with Adam's parents coming, and Macie's birthday, and cleaning the house, and the list goes on. So, I was wondering why Adam went downstairs first instead of showering and stuff, like he always does. Well, I should have known my husband. He was getting a cookie, of course. He brought one for me, but it was 5:30 in the morning...I didn't need a cookie! But since I was awake, and they are pretty good cookies, I ate it.

Adam got out of the shower and came into our room, and asked if I wanted another cookie. Out of no where, Macie (who was sleeping in our bed, because both kids eventually end up in our bed throughout the night.) sits up, adjusts her eyes, and says, "Cookie?" She was completely knocked out asleep before she heard the word, but as soon as Adam said cookie, she instantly woke up. She's DEFINITELY Adam's daughter, that's for sure!

So, it is 7:10 AM, I've unloaded the dishwasher, loaded it, cleaned out the fridge (we aren't so much leftover people...it was gross.), swept, mopped, and now I'm going to work on the laundry. Yeah...all by 7:15. Shouldn't I still be sleeping? If cookies are involved, I guess not.

Dr. Gabriel

Noah had another follow up visit with the Neurologist in LA. He loves to go to Dr. Gabriel, mainly for the camouflage balloon afterwards. But, Dr. Gabriel is really good with him. He's an older doctor and kind of different, like most neurologists are, but he's a good doctor. He has an old black doctor bag, and lots of older looking things he uses inside, it's kind of funny. But, at the appointment, he did give a little hope that there could be an end to his medicine. Which, could mean that he could grow out of his seizure disorder. Right now is a time that kids usually grow out of a childhood seizure disorder. Usually about now they are growing like crazy and they just grow out of it. And then again around puberty. So, I'm hoping on the sooner one! So, if Noah can stay seizure free for an entire year, they will do a 24 hour surveillance on him in a hospital, hooked up to all of the EEG monitors and everything, and see how his bran waves are firing and things. It's a pretty intense testing. I'm just worried that it wouldn't show anything...he's never had an EEG, MRI, or Cat Scan that actually showed anything abnormal. That is why he was diagnosed with Generalized Epilepsy, that's what they diagnose when they can't pin point what it actually causing the seizures. It's very frustrating. We are just so grateful for modern medicine.

I know I post a lot about it, but it's an important part of our lives. I look at Noah as a miracle child. His seizures aren't life threatening, so he's not a miracle child, per say. It's really just an annoyance in normal everyday life. But after seeing his face blue, and seizing, not knowing what we could do for him. Hoping he'd be okay, and knowing that his seizures don't actually harm him, it's still hard. And then having to hold his lifeless body until he finally tenses up and starts crying as he comes out of the seizure, it doesn't get better. I rememeber a time in Rexburg after he had been hospitalized for about a week. He was having about ten seizures a day at that time. And each one is like a marathon for anyone's body, so you can imagine the toll it took on a little 20 month old body. But, we took him home and he was still just out of it. He wasn't my Noah. I would sit and cry, thinking that this time it effected his brain. I was so worried that he wouldn't ever be the same. He acted just so offish, and didn't want to interact with us. But, time and time again, he did return to his same self. The Noah we all love came back. And it happens every time. The "what-ifs" are always in the back of my mind, though.

I am SO grateful for the modern medicines we have today. At first I didn't like the idea of having him take medicine twice a day. I thought it was horrible that this little guy would have to that. But, having him not have to go through the seizures totally outweighs the negatives of having to take medicine. If it's there to help him, he might as well take it! Like an epidural. I'm SO for all of the drugs they give you to have a baby. If they are there, why not take them? We have been so blessed with good doctors to take care of our Noah. He's a newer medicine now. It still gives him an occasional headache, but we know that it's working for him. I can't imagine what life would be like if he didn't have it. Anyway, I'm grateful for drugs...I'm grateful for Doctors...and I'm grateful for Noah. He's a great kid.

Noah's haircut

Noah has thick hair. He has a TON of hair. I don't know why Macie can't get some of it! And it grows so dang fast! We know that he needs it cut when he wakes up with crazy hair. He's been waking up with crazy hair for a long time now, but we couldn't find the clippers. I haven't actually cut his hair in a while. I've had a friend do it. She's a lot better than I am. But, someone had to do it, and I didn't think Anniece would want to drive 3+ hours to cut his hair! He was excited about it a first, and liked the tickling of his head, but then he didn't like it. He was afraid I would cut his ears off. We didn't get to finish it completely, he still has stragglers here and there, but I don't think it turned out that bad. He was excited when he looked in the mirror because he said it looked like Skyler's hair. Skyler is his best friend here in Santa Maria. He talks about him all of the time, it's so funny. They are the only boys in their Primary class, and they play really well together. So, he was just happy that now he looked like Skyler. Funny kid. When we were done, we once again had a dust pan full of his hair.

Happy Grandparents Day!

I'm a day late on this...but who really know what Grandparents Day is anyway? But, I just wanted to tell Momo and Pa, Nana and Papa, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Ludlow a Happy Grandparents Day! My kids love all of their grandparents, and talk about them on a daily basis. We are all so grateful to have all of them in our lives. They really mean so much to us. Especially to Noah and Macie...they adore each and every one of them. We can't wait to see you all again! WE LOVE YOU.

Happy Birthday, Adam!

Adam is officially an old man. He's 31. I can say he's old, because he'll always be older than me! He was feeling a little bad because it was his first birthday without any family or friends. But, we invited some people from the ward over for pizza and cupcakes, and it was pretty fun! We ate, played the Wii, and I made peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. And they were pretty good. And very easy to make. I was surprised. Adam loves anything peanut butter and chocolate, so they were the perfect choice! Noah insisted that Adam open his presents early, so he really opened his presents a few days before. The day we bought them. Noah really wanted him to open them, and Adam wasn't going to complain!

But, even though he's old, I still love him! He's a great dad and husband. The kids adore him, and can't wait to go pick up Daddy everyday from his office. They ask numerous times a day if it's time to go get Daddy, I guess I'm not good enough for them. They must get bored of me all day long. I hope that he had a good birthday. We love you, Daddy!

Cory's all grown up?

I called my mom, like I pretty much do everyday...multiple times a day...and she was in Rexburg at Cory's apartment. It was the strangest sounding thing. Cory's apartment? Holy crap, he's going to college! I can't believe it. It doesn't seem like very long ago when he came home from Kindergarten to tell my mom that he heard a very bad word at school that day. She dreaded knowing what he learned. And he refused to tell her. He said it was very bad, and it started with a "b". My mom was pretty sure she knew what it was, but she wanted him to tell her so they could talk about it. But he didn't want to say it. He finally whispered it into her ear. He said, "It was brat." If only that was the worst "b" word there was! But he he was so innocent and so cute. And now he has an apartment, and living away from home, and going to college? Okay, he's still pretty cute, but do old! Good luck, Corihor. Have fun at school.
