I was making a sling for a friend, so I was trying on mine to see how to make it and what size and such, since I didn't have a pattern, and was just copying what I already had. But, I had Macie get in the sling, and we tried all of the different ways that you can use it. She thought it was pretty fun, and then Noah needed a turn as well. After their turns, they both decided that they, too, needed a sling. So Noah used mine, yes, I know, it's very girly with all of the pink and flowers! And I just used a little blanket for Macie, she doesn't know the difference! But she was so cute with her little baby. She kept saying, "Shh, baby." She would rub the baby's head, and ohhh, it was just too cute! Noah just had to have his lion on his back. But he had to make sure that there was a leg on either side, because, "That's the right way, Mom." Everything has to be exact for this kid.
And, about the sling that I made. It turned out pretty well. However, I learned the hard way that you should measure twice, cut once. Yeah, the sling fits Noah! But at least I know how to do it. And the next one will be a breeze!

Copy Cat
So, I felt like a copy cat because I knew multiple people with the same blog as me! So, I decided that the best way to avoid that, would be to make my own! So...this is what we ended up with! It's not as fancy as those templates, but hey, it's original! Now I can officially say that I am not a copy cat!

Rockstar Noah
Noah watches Daddy a lot! He copies everything he does. And Daddy watches a lot of music stuff on TV, and Noah has caught on. He was playing his guitar today, and I couldn't stop laughing. He kept saying, "This song is for you, Mama" It was too funny. I'm tellin ya, everyday is just great around here!

Oh Noah...
I took the kids to Target today while Adam went into work for a little while. It was Saturday, there was a lot of people there. I went actually looking at the Global Bazaar stuff that had gone to 75% the day before. I bought what I needed already, which was a good thing, because it was all gone by the time I got there Saturday! But anyway, the kids are pretty good little shoppers. If they get to play with toys while they are in the cart, they're okay. So, we had wandered the store completely, and were headed toward the check outs. Every time we are at a store, my little social bug, Noah, always says hi to the checker. They always say Hi back, and ask him how he his. And he always replies "Three." He just assumes people are asking him how old he is! But this time the girl said, "Well, how do you feel today?" Noah said, "Mommy hit me." And the girl was like, "She did?" And Noah replied, "I fell down." Oh my gosh, I was so embarrassed. I felt my face just getting so red. It was awful. I did not hit him...and he didn't fall down! I don't know where in the heck he got that, and why in the heck he would tell someone that! I'm like I didn't hit you, and Noah said "No, Mommy not hit." Which made it a little better, but not much! There were so many people around just laughing. I was mortified! This kid, though, he's starting to copy everything that we say. I told Adam to pick up his crap one night, so Noah went to Adam and said, "Pick up your crap, Daddy." And one day, we had gone to Albertson's for their 8 hour sale, and it ws crazy busy. As we were leaving I told a lady that it was a disaster in there. Noah pipes up, "Our house is a disaster!" Oh, Noah. What a funny kid! I'm worried what he's going to come up with next!

The little helper
So, I was upstairs folding laundry and I could hear the kids giggling downstairs. That's not always a good thing! These kids have found some of the craziest things to do! But I went downstairs, and Noah was changing Macie's diaper! It was so funny. He had her diaper off, and kinda folded up, and he was unfolding the new diaper to put it on her, but he couldn't figure out how to unfold it. I helped him with it, and he was so proud. He looked at me with this disgusted look, and said, "Macie really wet!" It was funny. She was really wet, I hadn't changed her diaper all morning and I guess he noticed that! What a funny kid. He's such a good little helper!

Our new neighbors
So, we live in the desert. If you don't know where Palmdale is, you should just know it is in the middle of nowhere. Sure, we live in Los Angeles County, but don't be fooled, we live in the desert! There isn't an ocean close, there isn't famous people's houses all over, heck, there isn't even a California Pizza Kitchen in Palmdale! But, we got the news yesterday that we do have some new neighbors. We live in a brand spankin new neighborhood. We really don't have any neighbors on either side of us. No neighbors behind us, they are still building the houses. But we do have a very unexpected neighbor. In the night sometimes I have heard what I thought was howling. But I just figured it was just the humidifier making weird noises. And the other night I could have sworn I heard some sort of purring/meowing. So, we get a visit yesterday from the Animal Protection Agency. We have coyotes living next door to us. Coyotes! They are not nice.
They look kind of mean and scary to me. But they told us that we shouldn't let our children play outside at night until they have all of them caught. They believe there are multiple coyotes...possibly a family living within 10 feet of our house. Oh my goodness, how scary. I don't so much like the desert anymore. I'm going to get eaten alive by these fierce creatures. And so you know, that howling, not so much the humidifier. (oh...the picture isn't the one by us...it's a generic pictures just to show how mean and scary they are.)

Would you like some sandwich with your ketchup?
Macie loves ketchup. Just ketchup. Adam likes it on things, but Macie just loves to eat ketchup. We had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch today, yes we put ketchup on our grilled cheese sandwiches. Adam has converted me to it. It's actually good. Probably the only non normal thing that ketchup is good on! But, Macie didn't eat the sandwich. At first it was a dip and suck kind of thing, but then she gave up on the dipping and put her face right into the ketchup! What a funny girl. Noah saw that I thought it was pretty funny, so he decided to try it, too. My kids...

Valentines Day chocolate
The cub scouts in our ward were selling balloons with a bag of candy for Valentines Day. So we decided to help out our friend Michael, and bought one for each child. Oh my heck, that was the best 4 dollars we've ever spent. Both Macie and Noah were very excited when they saw the candy! It was so funny! Macie ran, literally RAN to the candy. She just started giggling, this almost evil giggle. It was like they hadn't ever seen candy before. They ate that candy like there was no tomorrow! There were about 6 balloons in the bundle. Noah took all the balloons and started saying, "Help Me!" He said he was floating away. It was so funny. They were seriously on a sugar rush. It was too funny. But that's really what Valentines Day is all about...the candy. So it was well worth it!

I pretty!
Macie is learning new words everyday. The other day she was putting on her necklaces...her multiple necklaces, and putting heart stickers all over her face. She walked over to me and smiled and said, "I pitty" It blew me away! Of course I know she's pretty, but she actually said it to me! It was so funny. And dangit, I didn't have my camera, nor could I find the camera! But she's such a cute girl. Her vocabulary will surpass Noah's soon! It's good to know that I have a girlie girl, and to know that she knows she's pretty!

The tomboy girlie girl
I bet you didn't think there was such a thing, did you? Well, Macie is one. She is probably the most girlie girl I've ever seen. She always has to have a necklace and be carrying a baby. Yesterday she had on a pretty girlie outfit, necklace and all. And then she went to play in with Noah in his room. This is how she same out. And she loved it. She did not want me to take that shirt off for the life of her. She pointed at her shirt and using the words she has, she told me it was SpiderMan. She's a smart girl, that Macie. But she insisted that that shirt stay on her. Noah, I believe, was the culprit in the change of wardrobe, he giggled like crazy when Macie walked out. Those kids...heaven only knows what kind of trouble they'll get into!.

Hay Fever
Hay fever is not fun. Not fun at all. The past few days I have though I was coming down with something. I had a super sore throat that hurt so bad to cough, and my head has just been pounding. I woke up one morning think that if I changed the humidifier filter it would be okay...which helped a ton. But it was still awful. So I've concluded that I have hay fever. I got bad allergies in Idaho, so I guess it's only logical that I get them in California, too. I guess California isn't all it's cracked up to be! There are some drawbacks to California, too! Macie has had it pretty bad, too. And Noah is starting to sniff and sneeze and awful lot. I know now why my dad always told me to just go blow my nose. All that constant sniffing gets a little irritating! How do you teach a three year old to blow their nose? We're just keep working on it!

We're finally blogging!
So, I think I finally figured this whole blog thing out! It is pretty easy! At first I was a little overwhelmed, I guess I was making it a lot harder than it was! So, we'll try this out. I don't know if anyone will actually look at our blog. But that's okay! I'll just keep posting!
